Trick Training - The new dog sport on the block!

Where: Dogs Queensland sports grounds, King Avenue, Durack (Judges’ Training Room and main rings) Date: Saturday 12 January 2019 Time: 4 pm registration for 5 pm start Cost: $1 per run through
There will be 4 rings with a list of tricks applicable to each ring and handler/dog teams can enter all or any of the rings. The handler/dog team may do up to 8 tricks from that ring’s list in one run-through. If you enter 3 rings with one dog, the cost will be $3; if you enter 2 rings with 3 dogs in each, the cost will be $6. Depending on numbers attending, there may be a limit on how many runs any one handler can undertake.
There will be a ‘judge’ for each ring and helpers on hand to assist with advice on how to teach some of the tricks your dog may not know.
What you need to bring: Yourself, your dog, crate, rewards, and equipment. After you read the trick list and decide on your tricks please bring any gear for a trick requiring equipment.
This will ensure that equipment is both familiar and suitable for your dog. Rewards may be used in the ring but we recommend that any rewards are either food that does not crumble or a ‘silent’ toy.
How to register your interest in attending: Please email Coral Pethers (pethers@claremontresort.net.au) to indicate if you plan to attend; you will then be sent a list of the tricks for each ring.
Judges and/or Workers: If you would like to assist or are interested in the possibility of judging this new sport, please also email Coral.
